I'm a bit of a fan of pig bone noodle soup (khtieav chern chrouk), not so much so on the stomach.

I've just realised in the past few days that I haven't covered very many of the Khmer breakfast staples: pork and rice, khtieav, mee.

Good value for your money, and artistry in the making of your meal.

I concur that the lettuce doesn't really add to the experience. My favorite is the 'pig stomach' noodle soup.

If you're bringing a vegetarian pal though keep in mind you'll find bits of meat in the soup stock.
